Wahab is an attendee of the Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia. As of now, he ranks seventh in the state of Virginia, in a pretty loaded class that features the likes of Cole Anthony as well as Illinois commit Kofi Cockburn, Northwestern commit Robbie Beran and Virginia Tech commit Anthony Harris. Amongst big men, he ranks 24th in the nation and 129th overall in the Top247 rankings.
Georgetown beat out the Pittsburgh Panthers, Syracuse Orange, UConn Huskies and Virginia Tech for Wahab’s commitment.
Big men appear to be the name of the game for Patrick Ewing in the 2019 class. He’s already picked up two other centers in the class, in the form of Malcolm Wilson of South Carolina and Timothy Igohoefe of Nigeria. Each of them are three-star recruits. Their class currently ranks 44th in the nation and 4th in the Big East Conference behind the Villanova Wildcats, Xavier Musketeers and DePaul Blue Demons with Wahab’s commitment.
