The Villanova Wildcats just landed one of the best blue-chippers around.
Class of 2019 shooting guard Bryan Antoine just announced that he has committed to the Wildcats. Prep Circuit’s Pat Lawless reported the news of Antoine’s commitment to the ‘Cats, and Antoine also revealed the move on his Twitter.

To call this news big is probably underselling it. Bryan Antoine is a blue-chip recruit in every sense of the phrase. The Eatontown, New Jersey native is a five-star recruit and ranked 2nd in the Garden State, only behind his Ranney School teammate Scottie Lewis. He is also listed as the top shooting guard in the country. That’s ahead of the likes of Cassius Stanley and fellow ‘Nova commit, Justin Moore.
As it pertains to the rest of the country, few are better. Bryan Antoine is listed as the 11th-best recruit in 2019, just falling shy of the Top 10. It’s quite the loaded class of course, featuring the aforementioned Lewis, Kentucky Wildcats commit Tyrese Maxey, Cole Anthony, James Wiseman and Isaiah Stewart, among others.
This is quite the recruiting victory for head coach Jay Wright. Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils were thought to be the leaders for Bryan Antoine. They were leading in the 247Sports Crystal Ball over ‘Nova by quite the margin. But in the end, it’s Wright who earns the win and the commitment of Bryan Antoine. Wright is assembling an incredible recruiting class, one that might not be completely done yet, either. So, if you thought Villanova’s reign at the top of the Big East was getting anywhere close to being done, well... take it away, Mr. Barrett...
It ain’t gonna be over for a while.
Villanova’s 3-man class of Antoine, Moore and power forward Eric Dixon is currently ranked 2nd in the entire country behind only the USC Trojans. Naturally, they sit atop the Big East Conference, as well.
