Hugley is gaining some traction lately.

The Xavier Musketeers were active on Wednesday. They offered 2019 four-star guard Dahmir Bishop, and also offered a big man in the Class of 2020. That being John Hugley IV of Cleveland. Hugley announced that he received the offer from the Musketeers on his personal Twitter account.

As it stands, Hugley holds offers from, mostly, schools in Ohio. The Kent State Golden Flashes, Akron Zips, Miami (OH) RedHawks, Cleveland State Vikings, Bowling Green Falcons, Wright State Raiders and Dayton Flyers are the other Ohio-based programs to offer the rising junior at Brush High School. JMU, Duquesne, Saint Louis, Robert Morris, Buffalo and Tulane have done so, as well.

Hugley isn’t listed on 247Sports Composite’s Rankings yet and is a zero-star recruit at this point. But, there’s plenty of time for that to change, of course. And it’s not like he’s not fielding a slew of D1 offers. So, you figure there’s plenty of promise there in his game. Below is a highlight video, which showcases that promise. You can see he has plenty of bounce in his steps on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.
