It’s a great day in Friartown!
2018 forward Jimmy Nichols (Conway, SC) announced Tuesday night on ABC15’s 6 o’clock news that he would be committing to the Friars over the in-state South Carolina Gamecocks, among others.

Nichols joins AJ Reeves and Kris Monroe as the third member of Providence’s class of 2018. The timing of the commitment is hardly surprising, as Nichols was on-campus at Providence over the weekend for an official visit.
According to 247Sports, the three-star forward is the fourth-best player in the state of South Carolina.
Nichols is listed as a power forward, but at 6’7, he could likely play a bit of small forward as well.
His most junior year highlights can be seen below.
Providence has two scholarships left for 2018-19.
