The Butler Bulldogs’ search for their first 2018 commit will have to continue for at least another day.
Despite being in on him for quite some time, Top 100 recruit Miller Kopp of Houston committed to the Northwestern Wildcats. Kopp announced his commitment to Chris Collins’ program on Thursday morning. He gives the Wildcats four commits so far for 2018.

Perhaps astoundingly, Northwestern’s class now ranks with the best of the best. The addition of Kopp means they now rank 7th in the nation, jumping up 17 spots from 24th. They are also now the third-ranked class in the Big Ten, only behind the Michigan State Spartans and Indiana Hoosiers.
Kopp attends Houston Christian Academy and plays for the UAA’s Houston Defenders. He ranks fifth among all Texas recruits, with Quentin Grimes leading the way there. Kopp also ranks 24th among small forwards and 97th overall. He is a four-star recruit on 247Sports and 247Sports Composite.
LaVall Jordan is still looking for his first commit in the 2018 recruiting cycle. They may not have to look too far from Kopp, however.
The Bulldogs have been chasing after Kopp’s UAA teammate for some time, too. That being Morris Udeze. Udeze is a Top 300 player in the country in 2018 and ranks in the Top 25 at his position (center) and the state of Florida, where he attends Montverde Academy. 247Sports’ Crystal Ball is solid for BU right now as far as Udeze goes.
