Xavier sent their first scholarship offer out in a short while on Friday, offering big man Jake Walter of Alexandria, Kentucky.
The news was first put out in the open by Indiana Elite of the Adidas Uprising league and then tweeted out by Walter himself.

Walter, who plays for Indiana Elite and attends Covington Catholic High School, is listed as a two-star recruit on 247Sports but finds himself in the Top 10 in the state of Kentucky for 2018. Ranked 10th in the state, Walter is also the 37th-ranked center in the country and is ranked 384th overall in America.
The Musketeers are the ninth school to offer Walter at this point in the recruiting cycle. They join a list including Boston Terriers, Northern Kentucky, Wright State, Toledo, Ball State, Stetson, Western Illinois and Indiana State who’ve gotten in on the 7-footer so far.
Xavier is still looking for their first 2018 commit and now has 21 open offers after Walter’s inclusion.
