Butler sent out their most recent scholarship offer on Friday night, shooting one out to class of 2018 shooting guard Kyler Edwards.

Edwards, a native of Arlington, Texas, announced the offer on his Twitter account.

Per 247Sports Composite, Kyler Edwards is ranked 20th among all recruits in the state of Texas in 2018, a group headlined by four-star point guard Quentin Grimes. Butler is no stranger to the state of Texas as far as their standing offers go in 2018, having handed them out to the likes of four-stars Miller Kopp and Morris Udeze of the Houston Defenders UAA team. Meanwhile, Edwards is ranked 58th among all shooting guards in his class and is the 214th overall recruit in the class.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that many of the teams currently in on Edwards are from Texas. Houston, UT Arlington, North Texas, UT Rio Grande Valley, SMU and Texas Tech have all sent out offers to the Bowie High School shooting guard so far. Away from Texas, Butler joins a group featuring fellow Big East rep Georgetown, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Saint Louis, Kansas State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, New Mexico and USC are among those who are targeting the 6-foot-4, 195-pound shooting guard as well.

Butler, of course, is still seeking their first 2018 commit, as they are one of four teams in the Big East Conference to not have one to this point. Georgetown, Seton Hall and Xavier are the other three without a commit so far in a conference that has already been boasting a slew of talented recruits coming next fall including Brandon Slater and Cole Swider at Villanova, A.J. Reeves at Providence, Joey Hauser at Marquette, Tyger Campbell at DePaul and Ian Steere and Christian Bishop at Creighton.
