DePaul remains active on the recruiting front as the live period continues, offering class of 2018 power forward Reggie Chaney on Wednesday. Corey Evans of Rivals was first to report the news of Chaney’s offer.

Chaney attends the famed Findlay Prep High School in Las Vegas and is a member of the RM5 Elite EYBL team, which is based out of Texas. Originally from Frisco, Chaney is listed as the third-best recruit in the state of Nevada at the moment per 247Sports, with four-stars Trey Woodbury and Moses Wood ahead of him right now. Chaney is also listed 48th among all power forwards in the country and 221st overall in America for 2018.
Per Chaney’s Verbal Commits page, he holds offers from seven other schools right now. Ole Miss, Arkansas, Utah State, TCU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Wichita State are among those chasing the 6-foot-7, 215-pound power forward right now, with DePaul having added their name to the list on Wednesday evening.

DePaul already has two commits for 2018 in the form of five-star Tyger Campbell and three-star John Diener. The addition of Chaney would help them out in the frontcourt to be sure, and hopefully continue to build from the ground up with Dave Leitao and his staff doing solid work for the future right now in Lincoln Park.
