Washington, an attendee of Grand Rapids Christian High School, is listed as a three-star player on 247Sports and stands as the 10th-ranked player in the state of Michigan. Leading that group of course is Michigan commit Brandon Johns, and four Michigan State commits, including Marcus Bingham Jr., make up four of the Top 6 in the state.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard is listed 51st overall at his position among 2018 recruits and is ranked 305th overall in the country.
The offer from Butler comes two days after Washington received an offer from Dayton. Washington has also received offers from Charlotte, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, Middle Tennessee, Hofstra, Tulsa Golden, Rhode Island, Utah, VCU and many more.
Washington is the fourth point guard that Butler has offered for 2018. The other three are Elijah Weaver, Ayo Dosunmu and Robert Phinisee, all of whom are four-star recruits in 2018. Given that all three appear to have traction to other places other than Butler right now based on their 247Sports Crystal Ball, it shouldn’t be a surprise that they continue to be targeting the position.
