Butler offers 2018 3-star Hunter Tyson

The Bulldogs extended their reach to a North Carolina small forward.

Butler offered class of 2018 3-star Hunter Tyson of Gastonia, North Carolina on Saturday. Phenom Hoop Report were the first to report the news.

Tyson is an attendee of Piedmont Community Charter School in Gastonia and is a 3-star per 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-7, 180-pound small forward is ranked 256th overall in America, 66th at his position and 10th in the state of North Carolina. Four-star small forward Jaylen Hoard leads that group, which also features Devon Dotson, UNC commit Coby White, Creighton commit Ian Steere and VaTech commit Jarren McAllister. Tyson just beat out Will Dillard and falls just behind Damon Harge Jr. in the NC rankings.

The 2018 small forward currently has offers from Clemson, DePaul, ECU, Wake Forest and others.
