The Providence Friars offered a class of 2020 guard on Friday. Ed Cooley and his staff have taken up interest in Princeton, New Jersey native Niels Lane, who plays for the Hun School and Team Final on the Nike EYBL circuit. The news of Lane’s offer first came from City of Basketball Love’s Josh Verlin.

To this point, Lane has offers from two schools: Providence and the Lafayette Leopards as well. Per his 247Sports page, the Columbia Lions, UConn Huskies, Temple Owls and Villanova Wildcats have shown interest in him as well.
Lane is currently unranked in the class of 2020 by all of the recruiting services right now. But, of course, there’s nowhere to go but up for the sophomore high schooler right now. Receiving his second D1 offer will only help him gain more attention going forward.
