The Seton Hall Pirates celebrated an 84-68 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers on Wednesday. That win at Prudential Center was not the only news to come out of the program, though. The Pirates were active in the recruiting game, issuing out an offer to a 2020 prospect.
That prospect is A.J. Hoggard. Hoggard, a Pennsylvania native, received an offer from Kevin Willard and the Pirates staff. This news was reported by GiveNGo/MADE Hoops recruiting analyst Pat Lawless. Hoggard himself also tweeted out the news of his offer.
A.J. Hoggard, a class of 2020 PG from Archbishop Carroll (PA), has picked up an offer from Seton Hall.

Thus far, as Hoggard stated, three programs have offered him including Seton Hall. They’re all programs in the Tri-State Area of New Jersey/New York/Connecticut and teams that Big East fans know awfully well. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights offered Hoggard back in October, and the UConn Huskies did so back in July.
Hoggard attends Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania, located roughly 20 miles from Philadelphia’s city center. As a freshman, Hoggard was named to the All-Catholic League Third Team for his efforts. That league’s MVP this past season was current Villanova Wildcats freshman Collin Gillespie, who attended Archbishop Wood. He also plays for Team Final on the Nike EYBL Circuit.
As of now, 247Sports does not have any ratings/rankings for Hoggard. That, of course, could very well change in the future.
