As the New York Post’s Zach Braziller notes, the Red Storm’s Tip-Off event will be taking place that weekend.
A player of Brown’s caliber is not to go unnoticed. The Prolific Prep power forward is a five-star prospect via 247Sports. He ranks 11th among all players in the class of 2018 and is ranked second among all power forwards. The only player listed above him is five-star Simisola Shittu. Brown is also the second-ranked player in California, with Bol Bol being the only one ranked above him.
The California Golden Bears and UCLA Bruins are also very much in on Brown. With that being said, that St. John’s was able to procure him for an official visit is definitely noteworthy. They had already been in contact with him, having visited him on September 16 and 18.
Time will tell to see if his visit to Queens will make a difference. Nevertheless, this will be something to watch.
