Justin Moore, a class of 2019 guard from DeMatha Catholic, received an offer from the Villanova Wildcats earlier this week. Moore, the 65th overall player in the 2019 recruiting cycle, announced the offer on his Twitter account.

Moore currently ranks 10th among all point guards in his class and is the second-ranked player in the state of Maryland. Only four-star Makhi Mitchell, a Maryland commit out of Bishop McNamara (District Heights, MD) ranks higher than the new ‘Nova target.

DeMatha Catholic has produced quite a lot of high-quality hoopers in the past. The school has seen Markelle Fultz in particular launch himself to stardom, as Fultz was recently the #1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. D.J. Harvey, a 2017 commit for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, also attended the school, which is located in Hyattsville, Maryland.

At the moment, plenty of high-major programs are in on Moore. He has offers from Louisville, Maryland, Notre Dame and Penn State. Xavier and Wake Forest have also expressed interest.

Moore took an unofficial visit to the Villanova campus on September 30, and was promptly offered the day after. At the moment, he is one of five guards that ‘Nova is pursuing for 2019. That group includes five-star Bryan Antoine, four-stars Bryce Wills, Jalen Lecque and Isaiah Wong.
