The Butler Bulldogs are now pursuing a class of 2019 guard who has offers from two other Big East programs. That’d be Alex Hemenway, who received an offer from the ‘Dawgs on Saturday night. Hemenway announced the offer on his Twitter account.

The Creighton Bluejays and Xavier Musketeers have also offered Hemenway so far in this cycle. The Castle HS shooting guard also has received offers from the Clemson Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Valparaiso Crusaders, Evansville Purple Aces, IUPUI Jaguars and Belmont Bruins. The Indiana Hoosiers are also in pursuit, but have yet to offer.
Hemenway hails from Newburgh, Indiana and is listed at 6-foot-3, 170 lbs. as he enters his junior season. at Castle High School. He is an unranked recruit on 247Sports, but that of course could change down the road.
Butler has open offers to four players right now in 2019. That’s not including commit John Michael Mulloy, of course. Trayce Jackson-Davis, Malik Hall, Mason Gillis and Isaiah Thompson are the others. With the exception of Hall, the other four are from the state of Indiana (Hall is from Naperville, IL). It’s clear again, with the offer to Hemenway, that LaVall Jordan and his staff are prioritizing Indiana prospects. As well they should.
