The Butler Bulldogs offered their second wing in the 2019 class on Wednesday. The ‘Dawgs sparked interest with New Castle’s Mason Gillis. Phenom Hoop Report tweeted the news of his offer on their account.

Gillis is listed at 6-foot-7 as he enters his junior season at New Castle High School. Thus far, he’s received offers from the IUPUI Jaguars, Toledo Rockets and Miami (OH) RedHawks. Thus, Butler is the highest profile program to offer him to this point.
It’s perhaps worth noting that Mason Gillis is a two-sport athlete, playing both basketball and baseball at New Castle HS. He also once starred in the 2012 Little League World Series. Gillis hit a walk-off single that helped the New Castle, Indiana team win the Great Lakes Regional Championship to earn a trip to Williamsport.
