The Providence Friars are looking ahead to 2020 for their most recent scholarship offer. The Friars offered DeMatha Catholic center Hunter Dickinson on Tuesday afternoon. The news comes to us from Rivals.com’s Corey Evans.

He currently attends the famed DeMatha Catholic in Hyattsville. As he enters his sophomore season, he already is listed at 6-foot-11, 220 lbs. His size alone at that age is probably why he’s being so well regarded right now, and he can only go up from here.

The Friars are the latest to offer him, joining a slew of high-major programs. The Maryland Terrapins, USC Trojans, Virginia Cavaliers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are among those currently in on him. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Alabama Crimson Tide, South Carolina Gamecocks, Iowa Hawkeyes are also currently pursuing him. The Illinois Fighting Illini, Wake Forest Demon Deacons and Penn State Nittany Lions are, too.

Dickinson is a five-star on Rivals and a four-star via 247Sports Composite. He ranks 13th overall on 247Sports and second overall among centers behind four-star N’faly Dante of Sunrise Christian in Wichita. He is also the top-ranked player in the state of Maryland as of now. He’s the second player in the 2020 cycle to be offered by Providence, joining Earl Timberlake Jr., who was also offered on Tuesday.
