The Villanova Wildcats will be among a few teams who will see a former Wisconsin Badgers commit this week. ‘Nova, along with the Kansas Jayhawks, Oregon Ducks and Kentucky Wildcats will check in on class of 2018 shooting guard Tyler Herro, as per 247Sports’ Evan Flood.

Herro decommitted from the Badgers this past week. Almost immediately afterward, it seemed that plenty of top-flight programs would be pursuing the Milwaukee native, who built up quite the penchant after committing to Wisconsin last September. Obviously, now that he’s on the market, plenty of elite programs will now be chasing the four-star shooting guard.

There’s no telling where he’ll land, but buzz is picking up for Kentucky. At least if you look at the 247Sports Crystal Ball, where the Wildcats have gained lots of traction lately. Villanova could certainly be players for Herro, adding to an already impressive recruiting class if they got him. Pairing him up with fellow four-star Brandon Slater would make for quite the backcourt, wouldn’t you say?

Tyler Herro is ranked 36th overall in 2018 per 247Sports Composite. He ranks fourth among all shooting guards, a list topped by Romeo Langford, Keldon Johnson and ASU commit Luguentz Dort. Good company, to say the least. Herro is also the second-ranked player in the state of Wisconsin. That list, of course, is topped by Marquette commit Joey Hauser, the brother of current Golden Eagle, Sam Hauser.
