The Xavier Musketeers have had a busy week in the recruiting world. While they haven’t gotten any commitments, they’ve certainly had no problem sending out scholarship offers. They tossed out three to 2019 prospects this weekend alone. Alex Hemenway, Jalen Thomas, and now Samari Curtis have all been offered by Chris Mack and the Muskies. Curtis, a native of Xenia, Ohio, announced the offer on his Twitter account.
Very blessed to say i've received a offer from Xaiver University! #blessed pic.twitter.com/zLsv9tmUHg

Curtis is one of six shooting guards in the class of 2019 that Xavier is after. He joins the aforementioned Hemenway as well as high-profile players Jalen Lecque, Bryan Antoine and Josh Nickelberry. Justin Moore is also one of the six guards that the Musketeers are currently chasing. But Curtis is the most recent to this point.
Thus far, Xavier is one of five programs to offer Samari Curtis. Interestingly enough, all lie in the state of Ohio. The Akron Zips, Toledo Rockets, Kent State Golden Flashes and Cincinnati Bearcats have all expressed their interest in the Xenia native so far.
Samari Curtis is listed at 6-foot-4, 180 lbs. as he enters his junior season in high school. The Xenia High School attendee looks to be a pretty talented player if this video below is any indication of his skill set.
By most accounts, of all the players Xavier offered this weekend, Curtis is the most highly regarded. 247Sports Composite has him as a three-star player in the class of 2019. He ranks 212th overall in the class and 36th among all shooting guards. In the state of Ohio, Samari is a Top 5 player, ranking fourth among all prospects. That puts him in pretty good company along with Alonzo Gaffney, UNC commit Jeremiah Francis and Jordan Mitchell.
