Earlier this week, Andrew Jackson High School forward Dontarius James received an offer from the Xavier Musketeers. James, a native of South Carolina, announced the offer on his personal Twitter account.

At the time, Xavier was the most recent school to offer him. ETSU would swoop in later in the day for that honor, but the Musketeers are the biggest name besides the Kansas Jayhawks to show interest. As of now, James has received offers from mid-major programs like Old Dominion, Austin Peay, South Alabama, UMass and UAB.

Dontarius James is listed at 6-foot-7, 215 lbs. as he enters his senior year of high school. He’s a native of Kershaw, South Carolina (no word on if that has any bearing on Clayton Kershaw). He’s averaged roughly 20 and 11 in his time in high school according to PrepHoops.com, which needless to say are eye-popping numbers. He’ll likely be a stretch 4 at the next level given his frame.

James is a bit of an under-the-radar type as he’s not ranked on 247Sports Composite. Assuming he blows up a bit, that could of course change.
