Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas may be about to reel in a 2018 big man, as Javian Fleming (Canton, MS) trimmed his list to two schools: Georgetown and Alabama.

Georgetown and Alabama
Commitment Date coming soon .....
Fleming visited Georgetown and Alabama in the past two weekends, per 247Sports. He hasn’t announced a decision date yet, but it’s coming soon, as noted in his tweet.
There are two schools of thought here, in theory. The first is that if you’re a 6’9 big man, there are few (if any) better coaches to learn from than Patrick Ewing. However, it’s pretty evident that Georgetown is going to have a couple down years. Alabama, meanwhile, coached by former NBA head coach Avery Johnson, looks set to compete for an NCAA Tournament spot in each of the next couple seasons.
Fleming’s decision will certainly be one to follow. In the meantime, enjoy this highlight video from over the summer.
