Lehigh vs. Villanova: Halftime Notes

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

- It's been an auspicious start to the season for the Villanova Wildcats. Although they lead by two after the first 20 minutes, they've struggled mightily. They've shot 27.8 percent from the field on 36 attempts, and have an abysmal mark from the 3-point line, converting on only 13.6 percent of their 22 opportunities. This was a team that was one of the most efficient in the country last year. Now, though, they've started off poorly.

- Ryan Arcidiacono leads the way with nine points at the half for the 'Cats, but has done so on just 2-9 from the floor. He's 1-6 from the 3-point line, as his line really entails the struggles that this team has had. Meanwhile, Darrun Hilliard, the most efficient returnee in the entire conference, has gotten off to a bad start. He's only shot 18.1 percent (2-11 FG) and has missed each of his six 3-point attempts.

- Lehigh's Tim Kempton has been the best player on the floor so far. He has 11 points and shot 55.5 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes of the game. He also had six rebounds.

- Villanova is currently out rebounding Lehigh 22-19, but Lehigh has outrebounded them on the defensive side, 18-13.

Enjoy the 2nd half, Villanova fans. And don't get too anxious.
