It’s the first regular season game for the Golden Eagles and first year head coach Steve Wojciechowski, as Marquette Golden Eagles is set to take on the UT Martin Skyhawks.
It's fair to say that the Golden Eagles will look vastly different from how they have in recent years, with the likes of Chris Otule, Devante Gardner and Todd Mayo having since departed in the offseason. With BYU transfer Matt Carlino ready to make his debut in Milwaukee, expectations have been set for him as he was named as one of SB Nation's Top 100 college basketball players in the country.
The UT Martin Skyhawks, meanwhile, are coming off the heels of a downtrodden season in the Ohio Valley Conference. They too have undergone a coaching makeover as Heath Schroyer replaces Jason James after the Skyhawks had a dismal 8-23 record in the 2013-14 season. Players to watch for in this game for the Skyhawks are seniors Marshun Newell and Myles Taylor, who were two of the team's most significant contributors a season ago.
