Big East basketball is back in action on this Tuesday night. In what figures to be an intriguing matchup, the Butler Bulldogs (16-4, 4-3) face the Georgetown Hoyas (12-8, 2-5) in Washington D.C.

Both teams come into this game a bit sluggishly. They are each 1-3 in their last four games, though having come in different ways. Butler snapped a three-game losing streak with an 89-85 win in overtime over the Marquette Golden Eagles back on Friday night. Georgetown, meanwhile, is on a two-game losing streak, with a win over the Creighton Bluejays sandwiched between their third loss in this run, back on January 11 to the Villanova Wildcats.

The one to watch as always for Butler will be Kamar Baldwin. Baldwin’s coming off a spectacular 31-point performance against Marquette, his first 30-point showing in over a month. In a conference dominated by the likes of Markus Howard and Myles Powell, Baldwin is still piecing together a heck of a year and should look to continue doing so on Tuesday night.

Georgetown will have to come up with some kind of strong, collective effort to get a win on Tuesday night. The key for them will be to not get blitzed too hard on the perimeter. Their defense from 3-point land has been skittish to say the least this year and Butler has been pretty good from long distance. In short, they’re just going to have to have to hope the Dawgs aren’t as effective on the road and bring together a great game to get a W.
