Incarnate Word vs. St. John's: Time, TV schedule, live stream, 3 things to know

The Red Storm play host to Incarnate Word in a nonconference matchup after their biggest win in recent memory.

Anthony Gruppuso-USA TODAY Sports

The St. John's Red Storm will take on the Cardinals of Incarnate Word out of the Southland Conference tonight at Carnesecca Arena. St. John's comes into the game having won its last three, including an impressive victory over rival Syracuse.

Meanwhile, Incarnate Word has not won a game this season against Division I competition while losing their last game against Our Lady of the Lake University, an NAIA outfit.

How to watch, listen, or stream

Game Time: 7:00 p.m. EST

TV: FS1

Radio: 970 AM WNYM (St. John's)

Online Streaming: Streaming is available for this telecast via FOX Sports GO.

Three things to watch

1. Home Court Advantage

St. John's has not lost on its home floor yet this season. The intimate environment at Carnesecca Arena should provide for a good atmosphere for Chris Mullins's side. Additionally, the Red Storm are holding opponents to just over 53 points per game in its on-campus arena.

2. Confidence is Growing

Narrow wins over Chaminade, Wagner and Niagara made this St. John's team appear incapable of finishing higher than expected this season. The Syracuse win changed that. The development of players like Federico Mussini have started to take place and the Chris Mullins era is off to a positive start.

3. Expectations Raised

A win against Syracuse to improve to 7-3 on the season has also raised expectations for this developing squad. Games like tonight's are expected to be wins. That isn't a position that St. John's has been in this season yet.
