Creighton welcomes West Coast Conference opponent St. Mary's to Omaha on Saturday. Creighton is coming off a double-overtime 91-88 win over South Dakota, while St. Mary's is looking to rebound from a home loss to Boise State. Creighton is 8-2 with wins over Oklahoma, Nebraska and South Dakota after falling behind by double digits. The Bluejays have already had five different leading scorers and saw redshirt junior James Milliken bust out for 23 crucial points off the bench against South Dakota.
Playing in their first road game of the season, the 5-1 Gaels are led by senior big man Brad Waldow. The California native is averaging over 22 points per game, including 10 rebounds per game. While potent on offense and in the top 50 of many offensive categories, the Gaels have struggled this season to stop people. They surrendered nearly 60 percent shooting to Boise State as well as 47 percent shooting to Division II program Cal State-Los Angeles.
Saturday's contest is the return game from the 2012-13 Bracketbuster match-up in Moraga, California, that saw St. Mary's win 74-66. Adam Goldsmith and Nick Bahe will be on the call for Fox Sports 1.
