Per the 247Sports Composite rankings, Mitchell is the 115th best player in the class, seventh-best point guard, and sixth-best player from Pennsylvania.
In addition to Marquette, Miami, Temple, Villanova, Georgia Tech, and others showed interest in Mitchell.
Mitchell averaged 22 points per game in his junior season of high school, so his dynamic scoring ability should make him a perfect fit for Steve Wojciechowski’s offense.
The Golden Eagles have three scholarships remaining for the 2021-22 season.
