Georgetown looks to bounce back against Coppin State

After back-to-back losses, can the Hoyas get on track?

NCAA Basketball: Maryland - E. Shore at Georgetown Scott Taetsch-USA TODAY Sports

The Georgetown Hoyas (1-2) come into Tuesday’s game against Coppin State (0-3) desperately searching for a win, after Georgetown dropped back to back games to Navy and #11 West Virginia.

Luckily for Georgetown, Coppin State has had one of the nation’s worst offenses so far, coming into this game at #346 in adjusted offensive efficiency. There really hasn’t been anything Coppin State has done right on offense, shown by their 54-point effort in their last game out against Drexel.

Georgetown played West Virginia much closer than anyone expected for about 35 minutes of Sunday’s game. The Hoyas led at the half and held the lead all the way until the seven minute mark before the Mountaineers were able to pull away with it. Georgetown should be able to put that behind them and get back on track against Coppin State, though. If not, it will be officially time to panic.
