Georgetown hosts West Virginia Sunday afternoon

Can the Hoyas bounce back from their loss to Navy?

NCAA Basketball: St. John at Georgetown Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Georgetown Hoyas (1-1) will look to get back on track Sunday as they host Bob Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers on Sunday.

Georgetown lost to Navy in their last time out, a frustrating 78-71 defeat for a Hoyas team that never seemed to get it in gear.

Things don’t get much easier Sunday, as West Virginia is what they have been under Bob Huggins forever: A defensive force with solid pieces on offense. Their lone loss of the season came to #1 Gonzaga Wednesday evening. Center Derek Culver has looked like perhaps the nation’s best big man so far this season, recording double-doubles in two of the four games, and hauling in fourteen or more rebounds in three of the four. The Hoyas will have their hands full down low if they can’t figure out a way to slow Culver down.
