For the first time since March 9, 2013, the UConn Huskies will play a Big East conference game when they host the Creighton Bluejays Sunday afternoon in Hartford.
It will be the first game in nearly three weeks for the Huskies, who have been paused since December 3rd’s win over USC.
UConn won its first three games of the season prior to the pause, as James Bouknight looked like one of the conference’s best players in the short time. Whether or not that continue following the time off remains to be seen.
Creighton comes into the game at 5-2, and 1-1 in Big East play. Creighton’s victory over St. John’s saw Damien Jefferson flirt with a triple-double, Marcus Zegarowski put together his best performance of the season, and five Bluejays reaching double figure scoring outputs. Duke transfer Alex O’Connell made his season debut against St. John’s and logged six points in 12 minutes, two numbers that will likely go up Sunday against the Huskies.
