THE FACTS

Time and Date: Friday, December 11, 8:30 p.m. CT

Records: Marquette (4-1) | UCLA (4-1)

Rankings: Marquette (#33 KenPom) | UCLA (#28 KenPom)

TV Channel/Watch Online: PAC-12 Network. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you don’t get PAC-12 Network. It’s OK, don’t feel bad. Most people don’t. I’m not even fully sure the channel actually exists. However, our pal Brewtown Andy put together a handy guide to see if you get the network, or how to stream it. Take a look!

Still riding high from their big win over Wisconsin last week, Marquette hits the road for the first (and only) time in nonconference play to take on the UCLA Bruins at Pauley Pavilion, a statement that is far less intimidating than it would have been a couple decades ago.

It’s not that UCLA is bad. They’re a perfectly fine team and program. They’ve just been crushed by the weight of the expectations placed on them for a long time now. The Bruins are coached by Mick Cronin, a miserable troll of a man who has certainly not been missed in the annual Xavier/Cincinnati game.

Senior forward Chris Smith has stood out for the Bruins so far this year, leading the team with 15 points and seven rebounds per game. Former DePaul commit Tyger Campbell has also stood out with 14.2 points per game and 6.8 assists per game.
