Seton Hall bounces back with win over Saint Louis

There was never a doubt in this one.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: NOV 17 Seton Hall at Saint Louis

Following their heartbreaking loss to the Michigan State Spartans, the Seton Hall Pirates had a short turnaround and had to hit the road to take on the defending Atlantic 10 champion Saint Louis Billikens.

The Pirates took care of business with little trouble, leading the entire way in their 83-66 victory.

Despite a slow start, Myles Powell (of course) led Seton Hall with 26 points, and also hauled in six rebounds as his ankle appears to be back to 100%, which is great news for the Pirates as they get set to head to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament next week.

Romaro Gill continued to be a force to be reckoned with down low, following up his five-block performance against Michigan State with four in the win over Saint Louis. Gill only had two points, but his presence is enough to make a big (pun intended).

Sandro Mamukelashvili had a strong game with 17 points and seven rebounds, and Quincy McKnight added 12 points of his own.

Defensively, Seton Hall kept SLU forward Hasahn French at bay. French finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, but 12 of his points and six of his rebounds came in the second half, when the Pirates had the game in hand.

Seton Hall will have one more tuneup before heading to the Bahamas when they host Florida A&M next Saturday.
