2018 NBA Draft profile: Mikal Bridges

The Villanova standout is considered the Big East’s most NBA ready player.

As Villanova looks to regroup from it’s unprecedented loss of four players to the NBA Draft, it’s time to focus on the first Wildcat who will hear his name called Thursday evening: Mikal Bridges.

Measurables

Position: G/F

Height: 6’7”

Weight: 200 lbs.

Wingspan: 7’0”

It’s easy to see why Bridges is a lottery pick pretty much everywhere you look. He does pretty much everything well, and is one of Jay Wright’s biggest success stories. Bridges offers positional versatility, stout defense, and three-point shooting. He will be a fit on pretty much any NBA roster, but putting him on a team like Philadelphia with the 10th pick could be the thing that puts the Sixers over the top.

Bridges is a redshirt junior so he’s going to be 22 years old when the NBA season begins, which is something that can be frowned upon in today’s NBA, but it shouldn’t matter too much.

Anyway, if Bridges goes to the Sixers, he and Robert Covington will be the living embodiment of that Spider-Man meme where they’re pointing at each other.
