Villanova whet the appetite for this Philly crowd, who started to chant “We Want Brady” after Villanova had the game in hand. But it didn’t start out this way. Through the first half, Seton Hall held tight against the No.1 team in the nation. On defense, Seton Hall showed no mercy around the rim, with key blocks being made by Ismael Sanogo. On offense Seton Hall shot the ball well, going 50%. However, Seton Hall turned the ball over three times and fouled Villanova eight more, this gave Villanova their opening.
Mikal Bridges had 17 points, Jalen Brunson racked up 21 points (6-12) with six assists. Eric Paschall ticked off almost everything in the box score. Donte Divincenzo chipped in another 13 points.
Seton Hall had major contributions from Desi Rodriguez with 20 points, Angel Delgado notched 18 points and 9 rebounds. Myles Powell chipped in 17 as well..
