The Marquette Golden Eagles are the Big East’s lone representative in the AP Top 25 poll this week.
The Golden Eagles check in at #20, up one spot from last week’s #21. Marquette didn’t play this week, but moved up as a result of another Big East team’s misfortune.
The Villanova Wildcats fell out of the poll from #17 after an 0-2 week against Penn and Kansas. The Wildcats received votes, but are unranked for the second time this season.
Rounding out the Big East’s AP Poll this week, the St. John’s Red Storm also received votes. Say what you want about their strength of schedule, but for a 10-0 team to be unranked is a bit absurd at this point, considering the poll contains nine two-loss teams.
