It certainly hasn’t been the best week and a half for Ed Cooley and the Providence Friars. After suffering a bad loss to the UMass Minutemen in which the Friars saw a 20 point lead disappear, the school announced earlier this week that freshman guard AJ Reeves would be out for a month with a foot injury.

Reeves has been one of the nation’s best freshmen this season, and his 14.2 points per game is second on the Friars. How will Providence’s offense overcome the loss? This is a good game to try some new things before heading to Texas to face the Longhorns at the end of the week.

Even without Reeves, Providence should excel against CCSU. Look for Alpha Diallo to have another strong game.
