Villanova is favored by -16, according to Oddsshark.
Villanova returns to Philadelphia bouncing back from early season disarray. The Wildcats were able to find their groove down in Orlando during the 2018 Advocare Invitational Tournament, defeating Florida State 66-60 to win ‘Nova’s sixth consecutive in-season tournament.
Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree unveiled surprising prowess for Villanova, establishing himself as a go-to defensive player. In fact, the sophomore was dubbed the tournament’s “Most Outstanding Player” after the final game. Fellow sophomore Collin Gillespie also seemed to slide into his stride down in Florida—Gillespie put up a team-high 17 points against the Seminoles.
For the La Salle Explorers, senior Pookie Powell leads the shooting drive, averaging 18.3 points per game. Unfortunately for La Salle, they’ve experienced far more malfunction this year than the Wildcats. The Explorers come into today’s game 0-7 so far this season.
