The Creighton Bluejays (2-1) make their way to the Cayman Islands Monday night to open the Cayman Islands Classic against the Boise State Broncos (1-1) at 6:30 p.m. CT.
How to watch, stream, or listen
That’s right! It’s 2018 and a college basketball tournament isn’t available on television. Remember when Creighton went to the Virgin Islands a couple years ago and those games weren’t on TV either? Yup. Same thing.
You can stream it though! It’s available on Stadium. You can also listen to the game on KOZN or KOZN Online.
If you’re reading this, you know two things. First, I am not Alex Sindelar. Alex had some things going on this week so I’m pinch hitting for him for this preview. I hope to capture his spirit while talking about this weird non-televised game.
Second, Creighton could really use a strong performance in a not very good Cayman Islands field! Sure, Clemson is there, but aside from them, Creighton shouldn’t really struggle with anyone else. If they do, it’s going to be a long season in Omaha. Most people are already convinced it will be a long season in Omaha.
I’m not sure Creighton’s problem has been that they’re bad this year. I think Creighton’s problem has been an ability to play a complete game. Obviously losing Marcus Foster and Khyri Thomas hurt them a lot on both sides of the ball, but there are little things Creighton can do that would help — cut down on turnovers, get more rebounds.
Boise State’s offense has been sluggish through two games, which could really help the Bluejays.
