Dave Leitao and the DePaul Blue Demons received some great news on Sunday afternoon when 2019 Chicago point guard Markese Jacobs tweeted he would be committing to DePaul.

Jacobs decommitted from Kansas in August after originally committing in 2016.
He continued to consider Kansas, along with Illinois and Florida State, but ultimately chose the Blue Demons.
Jacobs welcomes the challenge of trying to help turn DePaul around. “I want to be a part of taking this program back to the next level,” Jacobs told the Chicago Sun-Times. “There is the new arena, new talent and it’s time to put this program back on the map in my home city. They just haven’t had a group of players together to be able to do that.”
The Blue Demons now have the 15th highest-ranked class of 2019 on 247Sports, as Jacobs joins four-star Romeo Weems and three-star Oscar Lopez.
