As the Providence Friars look set to compete in the Big East this season, they remain aware of the fact that they have several seniors on the roster and will have to rebuild for the future.
They’re doing a pretty great job so far.
After landing a commitment from AJ Reeves earlier this summer, Ed Cooley struck again, as 2018 forward Kris Monroe tweeted his commitment to the Friars on Thursday evening.

Monroe, from North Carolina, was also offered by Boston College and Rhode Island, so this has to feel extra good for Cooley and his staff.
The 6’7 forward weighs in at 220 pounds, so it’s not crazy to think he could bring some positional versatility and play either forward position or even center in a smaller lineup.
