NBA Summer League marches on!

Here’s what happened on Tuesday:

JUSTIN PATTON

The Minnesota Timberwolves’ top pick in the NBA Draft received some unfortunate news on Tuesday. Justin Patton broke his fifth metatarsal and underwent surgery, ending SL play for him before it could even start.

HENRY ELLENSON

The former Marquette Golden Eagles star had another huge day at the office. Ellenson dropped 18 points, making three 3-pointers while grabbing six boards in 34 minutes of action. Ellenson’s 18 tied a team-high with Pistons first rounder Luke Kennard, as the duo helped lead Detroit to a 73-71 win over the Miami Heat.

DYLAN ENNIS

Dylan Ennis got the starting nod for OKC in their loss to Charlotte, and made the most of the abundance of time he got. In 31 minutes of action, the former Villanova Wildcats guard scored 13 points on eight shots, went 4-5 from the 3-point line, dished out four assists, grabbed two rebounds while picking up just one turnover and a blocked shot.

DWIGHT BUYCKS

The former Marquette star kept his good play going in the Dallas Mavericks’ 94-79 win over the Indiana Pacers. Buycks scored 14 points, going 6-9 from the field with five boards and five assists. He picked up just two turnovers in nearly 29 minutes of play as he has blazed quite the trail so far on the SL circuit.

SEMAJ CHRISTON

The former Xavier Musketeers guard did not play during the Thunder’s game against Charlotte.
