Big East recruiting roundup: Aaron Nesmith, Jimmy Nichols Jr., Jalen Carey and Jaylin Williams land offers

Let’s get back on track.

DEPAUL

Like Xavier did, DePaul went in and offered Brantley County forward Jaylin Williams.

The Nahunta, Georgia native is listed as a three-star recruit on 247Sports Composite and is ranked fifth among all recruits from The Peach State. He’s the 33rd-ranked power forward in the country and 162nd overall player in the country, and has gotten interest from Saint Louis, Mississippi State and Wake Forest, among others.

PROVIDENCE

The Friars sent out two offers this week to two 2018 prospects. Power forward Jimmy Nichols Jr. and small forward Aaron Nesmith were the ones to land them:

Both Nesmith and Nichols are three-star recruits via 247Sports Composite, with both hailing from the state of South Carolina. Nesmith ranks higher than Nichols in the Palmetto State, listed at third while Nichols is at fifth (five-star uberprospect Zion Williamson is, of course, the top player in the state).

VILLANOVA

The champs sent out an offer to 2018 point guard Jalen Carey earlier in the week, as per Andrew Slater of 247Sports.

The New York City guard, who plays in New Jersey at Immaculate Conception, is among the Top 5 hoopers in the Garden State, ranked fourth with five-star Nazreon Reid and four-stars Louis King and Jahvon Quinerly ahead of him. Like Quinerly, Carey is getting some serious looks from ‘Nova, who is in pursuit of a point guard to cap off their already stout-looking 2018 class, which features Brandon Slater and Cole Swider to this point.
