The Marquette Golden Eagles got a jolt of great news on a slow Sunday afternoon, as 2018 four-star forward Joey Hauser tweeted he was committing to the school.
Happy to announce that I have decided to commit to Marquette University! I can't wait to be a golden eagle! 〽️ pic.twitter.com/bMrFWIgj1u

Hauser, from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, is currently #49 on ESPN’s Top 100 for 2018. His brother, Sam, plays for Marquette, as well.
It was widely believed it would either be the Golden Eagles or the Wisconsin Badgers for the younger Hauser. For Marquette to nab him is yet another giant step in the right direction for the program under Steve Wojciechowski.
You can see some highlights of Hauser from a few months ago below.
Marquette is out of scholarships for 2018-19 now, which goes to show the youth they have on their roster. Adding Hauser to the fold with a (likely returning) junior Markus Howard, among others, will make the Golden Eagles quite a threat in the Big East in the future.
