St. John's remained hot on the recruiting trail on Thursday, sending out another scholarship offer.

The Red Storm offered a pair of California hoopers on Tuesday, and now, Chris Mullin and his staff have just reached out to Josh Roberts (2018/Montverde Academy, Fla./Southern Stampede) with a scholarship.

The 6-foot-10 power forward has also received offers from Saint Louis, Old Dominion, Wichita State, UMass, Towson, UCF, New Mexico, Auburn, FGCU, and Georgia.

Roberts is a three-star forward according to 247 Sports.

Through 16 games this year with Southern Stampede on the Nike EYBL circuit, he averaged 6.2 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game.

Roberts is a lengthy forward with great bounce and solid finishing instincts around the basket. He can even defend the wing and possesses great athleticism to help him contribute on both ends of the court.

At 200 pounds, Roberts may need to bulk up more if teams intend to use him inside. He has great length and height, he just needs to fill out his body a bit more.

As for St. John’s, the Red Storm are in need of some size and help in the frontcourt. Yankuba Sima and Darien Williams transferred out. After the 2016-17 season ended, Richard Freudenberg announced that he would be leaving St. John’s to return to Europe.

The Red Storm don’t have any incoming freshmen that are big men, but it does have South Carolina transfer Sedee Keita joining them. By the time Roberts would start his college career, Tariq Owens and Kassoum Yakwe will be in their senior seasons.
