2017 three-star Bryan Trimble commits to St. John’s

The Johnnies get another late commit.

The St. John’s Red Storm added former Florida State Seminoles commit Bryan Trimble on Wednesday. The Kansas City, Missouri native announced the move on his personal Twitter account.

Trimble joins Sidney Wilson in the Johnnies’ class of 2017, which had to be pieced together late in the game. Wilson, of course, committed back on May 20, so Trimble has joined the club roughly two and a half weeks later.

As mentioned, Trimble had been signed with FSU since November 9, 2016, having made a verbal commit on June 19, 2016. He decommitted just five days ago, so St. John’s obviously made headway and got on his tail very quickly.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound shooting guard ranks sixth in the state of Missouri for 2017 recruits. Standing above him are Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Virginia Tech Hokies), Xavier Musketeers commit Jared Ridder, Jacob Gilyard (Richmond Spiders), Caleb Bennett (Lehigh Mountain Hawks) and Levi Stockard (Kansas State Wildcats).
