Bingham, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan and an attendee of Catholic Central High School, is a four-star player in the class of 2018 and is ranked second among all prospects from the Mitten. Only four-star Brandon Johns, who committed to the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday, ranks higher than the 6-foot-19, 195-pound power forward, who also stands as the 21st-best power forward and as the 79th overall player in America for 2018.
The Butler Bulldogs recently hosted the 2018 forward for an unofficial visit back on June 17. That, of course, comes after the departure of Chris Holtmann, who left for the Ohio State Buckeyes job recently. Butler had been pursuing him heavily, so do the Bulldogs have a chance in landing him?
Well, if you’re looking at his Crystal Ball, you might not be so optimistic. At the moment, the aforementioned Buckeyes along with the Michigan State Spartans are deadlocked right now (Albeit one prediction apiece; foggy, too, has the same percentage, we’ll see if they can get him. Would be a good get for the plucky upstart) with Butler seemingly nowhere to be found. It seems MSU may likely be the landing spot, which would be quite the boost for the Spartans.
Recruitments have taken bigger twists in the past. We’ll see how things play out, but for now, it’d probably be a longshot.
