Xavier offers 2018 three-star Talen Horton-Tucker

The Musketeers are now in pursuit of a Chicago prospect.

Class of 2018 small forward Talen Horton-Tucker has received an offer from the Xavier Musketeers.

Scott Burgess of Prep Hoops IL was the first to report.

Horton-Tucker attends the famed Simeon Academy in Chicago, where the likes of Jahlil Okafor, Jabari Parker and Derrick Rose got their start. Horton-Tucker is listed as a three-star on 247Sports and finds himself ranked fifth among all Illinois prospects in 2018. Leading that group is Morgan Park’s Ayo Dosunmu, followed by Tim Finke of Champaign, Orr’s Ty Mosely and Whitney Young’s Justin Boyd.

Horton-Tucker is also ranked 59th among all small forwards and is the 253rd overall prospect in America for 2018.

Per his 247Sports page, this offer appears to come on the same day as an unofficial visit to Xavier’s campus. He recently visited Iowa State two days ago on an unofficial visit as well as Illinois back on June 21. He also holds offers from DePaul and Missouri among others, nine in total at the moment.

Xavier of course is also pursuing fellow 2018 small forward Cole Swider, who is announcing his decision on Friday.
