Carton is just the latest 2019 player to be offered by Marquette as five have been offered just this month. The Iowan point guard joins Jalen Wilson, De’Vion Harmon, Josh Nickelberry, CJ Felder and Isaiah Stewart as 2019 prospects that the Golden Eagles are now in pursuit of.
Like Jalen Johnson, a 2020 prospect that MU recently offered, DJ is currently being pursued by arch rival Wisconsin. Badger writer Evan Flood had predicted back in April that Carton would be headed to Madison, but no predictions have been made on his future since, for what it’s worth. This offer comes just four days after he attended a Badgers camp and 17 days after attending a Marquette camp.
Per his 247Sports page, Carton has offers from IUPUI and North Dakota as well.
