2018 four-star guard AJ Reeves commits to Providence

Ed Cooley does it again!

The Providence Friars have opened their 2018 recruiting class with a bang, as longtime target AJ Reeves committed on Sunday afternoon.

Corey Evans of Rivals had the news first.

As noted above, Reeves is the first 2018 commit for the Friars, who continue to have a loaded backcourt going forward.

Reeves chose Providence over Louisville, Virginia, and Villanova, and didn’t waste much time after naming those four schools as his finalists near the end of May.

Reeves is a fantastic scorer and shooter, as you can see in his junior year highlight video below.

Providence still has four scholarships left for 2018-19, so they’re obviously not even close to being done.
