When Chris Holtmann departed Butler for Ohio State, there was some worry about whether new coach LaVall Jordan would be able to keep the school’s best-ever recruiting class intact.

On Sunday, the Indianapolis Star reported that Christian David would be staying at Butler, making him the fourth of the five man recruiting class to express such.

David is the fifth-best prospect in all of Canada for the 2017 recruiting class. The 6’7 forward should bring athleticism and versatility to the Bulldogs.

Another important note in that Indy Star report: Butler is set to meet with top recruit Kyle Young sometime this week. Young initially committed to Butler over Ohio State, so it will be interesting to see if things have changed for him.
